Batesville Road

Batesville Road in Greenville County, SC was a two-lane earthen-shoulder roadway facility which had seen an increase in traffic due to the development of adjacent residential communities and a nearby elementary school. In order to accommodate the increase in traffic volume and population, the SCDOT hired Vaughn & Melton to design a center turning lane, bike lanes and sidewalks for this 2-mile stretch which will cost approximately $12million. Anderson Ridge Road will be reoriented to meet Batesville Road at a safer 90-degree angle, and traffic signals will be added there at Roper Mountain Road and at Pelham Falls Drive. The widening will also reroute Batesville Road around Ebenezer United Methodist Church with a new bridge over Rocky Creek. Eagle Construction Company, Inc of Newberry, SC is the general contractor for the project and Atlas Surveying, Inc will serve as the project surveyor.

Atlas Surveying, Inc’s work will include:

  • Staking clearing limits and silt fence
